Description

A Hack and Slash Beat'em up video game based on The Witcher Series, made by the whole class of 29 people. It is a local multiplayer game for two players, in which Geralt and Jaskier will fight hand to hand, killing all their enemies and overcoming the challenges and obstacles in their way, using their unique skills and cooperating in their way to victory.

It was made using our own Engine (Broken Engine) with C++ and OpenGL. Recognized as one of the most impressive final projects seen in the Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree.

Contributions:

When we started building the engine I was in charge of making the Animation System, which main features are skinning, interpolation between keyframes and blending between animations. Once the engine had its key features I was moved to gameplay programmer to develop the archer behaviour (an enemy) and make a cinematic as an introduction of the second level.

I also was the Gameplay Team Lead whose main goal was ensuring a good feeling between the characters and enemies. As a lead my role was to coordinate and give the feedback of the QA sessions to all the members that took part in the development of the main characters and enemies.
